Due to the high demand for lodging in Cambria, you must plan ahead so as to get a room. Weekends in any season are generally No Vacancy at the lodging establishments of the area. One would think given the proximity of Hearst Castle that Cambria would be flush with lodging. While this may hold true in the off-season, mid-week, frequent visitors have learned to book early. Many first time visitors passing through are flabbergasted when they encounter nothing but No Vacancy signs. With the limitations on growth comes a corresponding limitation on available beds. Any time you consider visiting Cambria, be it a holiday or regular weekend, be sure and book your lodging well in advance.
