Central Coast California: Nestled in the rolling hills of the
majestic Central Coast, Hearst Castle and the surrounding areas
are in the heart of California and just a short 3-4 hour drive
in either direction to the major metropolitan areas.
San Luis Obispo County is a fun and exciting travel destination
with a wealth of sights to see, activities to partake in and
places to explore. Come to see the Castle and stay to enjoy the

Castle to the State of California in 1957 and Hearst Castle
State Historical Monument has become of California's most

Hearst Castle has tours daily every day except for Christmas,
New Years, and Thanksgiving. The organized tours provided by the
State of California are the only way for the general public to
visit Hearst Castle. There is no one Hearst Castle tour on which
you can see all of sites available at Hearst Castle; there are
three main tours which cover different parts of the Castle.
